Percussion Practice...
almost developed a cramp in my arm while practicing Long Teng (again) today... i guess im getting old, or maybe i'm putting in much MUCH more effort in body language this time round. i guess to be an impressive soloist is one thing, to be a soloist AND a lead percussionist is another thing altogether...Well, anyway leading and inspiring the young 'uns get really satisfying when u see them putting in the effort to do their best in the song. But i hope they understand why i am so strict with them during practice... making them come 2 hours early for every practice so that i can polish their skills, demanding 110% effort and concentration during rehearsals and so on...
At least the conductor's appreciative of the effort we have put in for this concert (he better be!). haha
